I've had a blog for a while now at www.mizzleadventures.blogspot.com, but I messed it up. I was attempting to organize my photos in google and ended up deleting all of my photos from the blog. I was going back and putting them back in place, but it was long and tedious. Plus, a lot of the time, I couldn't remember exactly what photos where in each post. As a result, I became defeated and just left the whole thing alone. I've decided to try using the blog feature directly on this site. I tend to forget about updating my websites and hopefully keeping the blog here will help me keep things up to date... we can only hope!
These past few months have been time of reflection and remembering last year. It's been a painful year without my dad, but I've had some great moments with amazing people in my life. I know I am truly blessed to have those people in my life. I've also made a lot of art completely inspired by the loss of my dad, the love of the amazing people in my life, and my experience at the Rise Festival. This project is titled Remembering Dad Project. You can see photos of the project in progress by searching #rememberingdadproject. So, much time and love have gone into this project that I'm happy to see it finally coming together.
On August 8th, I'll be showing some of the paintings I made for this project and my Mizzle dolls at the Raw Orange County showcase Paramount at Yost Theater in Santa Ana, CA. Although, I make it a point to continually showcase my work at various locations like the Orange County Creatives Gallery in Laguna Beach, CA, it has been over a year since I've done a show like this. I'm excited about sharing this latest series at this event.
