Nadia Roldan has a strong passion for art and inspiring others to explore their own creativity, which has led to her career as an Art Educator. She graduated from California State University-Long Beach with a B.A. in Art Education (2001) and a Single Subject Credential in Art (2002). She began her teaching career at Lawndale High School. A few years later, she moved on to teach at Warren High School where she has been since. In 2008, while searching for a creative project for her students, she discovered the world of making sock dolls. Inspired by the Vinyl Frontier Exhibit in Pasadena, she began creating paintings and drawings of her sock doll creations and their adventures, thus beginning Mizzle Adventures. Nadia began showing Mizzle Adventures in 2012 with Raw Artists Orange County. She was a 2012 Orange County Semi-Finalist for RawArds. In addition, she has shown work in group shows at the La Habra Art Gallery and Huntington Beach Art Center. Her art and dolls are available for purchase at the Orange County Creatives Gallery in Laguna Beach, CA. Currently, Nadia is working on a children’s story starring her Mizzles.
